Age guidance
Groups with children aged 0 - 12: We recommend the family-friendly audio tour if you are visiting with younger children. The multimedia device has a version specifically designed for children up to the age of 12, with engaging video and audio content. We do not recommend the guided tour for children under 5, but all ages are permitted. With the self-guided audio tour, each full-paying adult will get one child (5-15) free.
Groups with children aged 12+: The guided tour is a great option if you would like to ask questions and interact with your knowledgeable guide. If you prefer to go at your own pace, then the self-guided audio tour is a better choice.
Pricing and booking
All tours can be booked online. Book in advance for the best value, and to guarantee entry on the day.
With the self-guided audio tour, each full-paying adult will get one child (5-15) free. There's no charge for children under 5 but they will need a ticket to enter.
Both the guided tour and the self-guided audio tour have a discount for 16-24s.
Our tours are running Saturdays throughout the year. Mondays to Saturdays during parliamentary recesses. There are also dates available during most school holidays. If your children prefer visiting attractions when it’s less busy then opt for an early morning or midweek tour which tends to be quieter.
